A name, a story, a family legacy
THE ORIGINS
is a play on words and graphics.
- The “Ò” has the value of “ho”: the name can be read as “ho il gin” (I have the gin), since the etymological h was introduced and regulated in the Italian language only with the Accademia della Crusca in the 15th century: a small tribute to the 14th-century origins of the Estate.
- Gino was also Grandfather, the family Alchemist: passionate about chemistry and a creative mind, he was a great eclectic. It is wonderful to be able to remember him in the product that more than any other represents the creativity of the Company.
- The “ò” is also graphically the porthole on the label through which you can see, at the bottom of the bottle, a glimpse of the Historic La Torraccia Estate.

THE BOTANICALS
Gin’Ò is like a tailored suit, starting from the botanicals present on the lands of the Conti Gigli Cervi Agricultural Company.
A London Dry Gin, with a recipe studied and crafted to celebrate the authentic flavors of Umbria and, in particular, the botanicals present in the centuries-old olive grove of the Historic La Torraccia Estate. Starting from the balsamic and resinous flavor of Umbrian-Tuscan juniper berries – appreciated for the essential oils that give intense aroma and bold flavor – through the addition of olive, pine and rosemary leaves – which tell the scents of the area – and with the presence of citrus and floral notes, Gin’Ò stands out for its smooth and aromatic notes.
Attention to detail in every drop
THE CREATION
Following the same approach as the Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which is the foundation of the Company’s philosophy and ethics, Gin’Ò is also produced paying attention to the seasonality of the botanicals, which are harvested and processed at the moment of their maximum flavor expression.
The quantities follow the availability of the herbs and vary accordingly from year to year. The bottles are numbered to offer a unique experience each season: small batches of 100 liters, for controlled production in all its phases.
Behind every bottle of Gin’Ò there is not only the search for aromas and flavors, but a true alchemy, an artisan knowledge almost extinct today. Evaporation and condensation, “the separation of one drop from another,” as the etymology of “distillation” suggests, extract the soul of each botanical, thus giving life to a unique and unrepeatable product.
